The interior balances warmth and simple elegance: pickled white oak lines the walls and cabinetry, providing a soft, tactile foundation, while matte white grey-veined quartz countertops introduce a calm, durable surface. Chevron mosaic tile adorns the contoured shower walls and floor, marrying utility with intricate patterning and texture. Salvaged black walnut from a client’s private collection serves as a rich, grounding accent, connecting the space to memory, provenance, and care while woolen C&C Milano Quadro patterned Sage accent pillows adorn the Pierre Frey Celadon upholstery.

All fabrication and customization was executed in-house, reinforcing the studio’s commitment to craft, control, and accountability. Ævum is a timeless example of design that functions as both a living environment and a meditation on the passage of time, materiality, and sustained attention.
